Montoya Mission UPDATE #12

I have received word from Betty and the kids (Gabriel & Emilia) and she has giving me an update list of what has been happening with them and the team as she finally got online at an internet café in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
  • Our work visas came thru, so now we can work in the hospital
  • I got to witness my first African delivery in the YWAM clinic
  • Got to do HIV/AIDS teaching in the church and at the YWAM clinic
  • Have gone on home visits, visiting locals and praying for them.
  • Several Tanzanian staff have malaria, we are praying Gabriel doesn’t get it because he sleeps in their room.
  • Emilia came down with an allergic reaction, we don’t know to what, her face got all swollen and rash, pray we find out what, went to clinic and she has been treated and is doing much better
  • Gabriel helped hunt monkey and we ate some, it tastes like fish.
They will be trying to send pictures soon and I will be sure to pass them along to you.

Isabelle and I are doing fine. We are bonding like crazy! She is back in school after a 2 week break as she enters her last term in 7th grade ending in December.

We welcomed a dear friend of ours from back home, John Elder, as he visited us this past week for a few days. It was a pleasure and time well spent as we showed him Perth and the YWAM base.

I will be sharing soon on the next update as to the work I have been doing at Create International.

Thank you all for your prayers. Keep it up! IT REALLY MATTERS.
Love you all!
