Montoya Mission UPDATE #5

Greetings Family and Friends from the Land Down Under!

Well, this is the first among many milestones ahead for us, as we just completed our 3 month lecture phase of discipleship training school (DTS). Now we depart for Papua New Guinea and Tonga for our outreach phase for another 3 months.

We will be in Papua New Guinea from March 31 to May 10. The government officials from the gulf province of Kerema (a primitive undeveloped area) has asked YWAM to teach courses applying biblical principles to all aspects of government. In addition to serving in the conference, we will be assisting in areas of basic life skills, healthcare and other mercy ministries before, during and after the conference. We depart from Papua New Guinea and arrive in Tonga on May 11 and stay till June 8. In Tonga, we will be providing healthcare as well and working with the indigeneous peoples there.

During the time we are in Papua New Guinea we will have no internet or telephone access. Please be advised on these dates if you were wanting to get a hold of us.

Once back, from our return to Perth, our base, we will have a week to debrief.

Please pray for:

• Health (The team and ours, especially against malaria. It is widespread in tropical and subtropical regions such as PNG)
• Good Nutrition
• Safety and Protection
• Strength and Stamina
• Unity
• Knowledge and Wisdom (As we teach and work alongside the natives)

We all in our team are looking forward to putting into practice what we have learned during lecture phase.

God said:
'Ask, and I'll give the nations to you.'
The cry of our hearts is for the distant shores and the islands to see His light as it rises on us.

Thanks to those who have sent care packages and notes of encouragement. It meant a lot to us to know that we are remembered, loved, and prayed for.

Peace+,
The Montoya’s
